A Good Photo For A Thursday

 

 

Do you ever associate a day of the week with a month, or a number?

 

Like, Thursday would be September and the number 8,

(and a photo of 2 ducks walking together).

 

There might be a numerological explanation for this that might shed some light on the condition of my psyche,

and perhaps conclude that I am only half crazy,

or it is just one of those funny associations.

 

What would Friday be?

 

May and the number 7.

 

Don't ask me why!

How Many Moons?

 

 

Often when I see the moon high in the sky,

I am reminded of a balmy night in Baltimore City,

when I was 19 or 20,

and feeling very pleased with myself,

sitting on the stoop of my very first apartment building.

 

The moon was shining above the tall buildings and trees surrounding me,

keeping me company like an old friend.

 

How many moons since then,

and still my good friend?

Are You A Being or A Doing?

 

 

On considering the possibility of actual mermaids being discovered,

what would be the most interesting thing

that we could learn about our kin in the sea?

 

That they send their kids to the best underwater schools?

That they work really hard to get a piece of the treasure that is hidden somewhere by someone

who lets them have a share if they are really good?

 

Or...

 

That they are kind to one another,

and are loving and happy creatures?

 

What would you want to be discovered as?

Doing or being?

 

A little of both would be ideal,

perhaps tipping the balance toward being.

 

Yes,

a being doing,

sounds like more fun than a doing being.

 

My new mantra,

Being or Doing?

Quiet Evening

 

 

A quick stop at the beach after yoga

and there are dolphins gracefully travelling south,

while the sun sets over the beach,

 

 

and the moon smiles...

 

 

 

 

 

 

St. Augustine Beach, it's good to be home.

 

Flowers and Friends

 

 

A special day comes and goes.

Friends and family pitch in and show up and laugh and dance.

Did they chase away the rain too?

Maybe.

It's possible.

Love can do that!
