Why The Willow Weeps
I know why the willow weeps
Over the darkened lake.
It weeps over death and family,
While the whole world’s at stake.
It weeps of the unpredictable future.
It weeps of the violent past.
It knows anything and everything,
Which is why the sorrow lasts.
